I use shed anchor kits from lowes. Haven’t had one tip yet but I know there’s a first time for everything

Screw in anchor , generater , big impact driver (rent them).. you good to go

If I am not mistaken, Sportsmen’s Condo have a I bolt attached to the center of the frame, under the floor. That being said, I’m not so sure just one would have held up to that kind of wind.

That is what I am wondering, I think I might want the combination of center anchor as well as each leg being attached to a something going into the ground... I am probably a little extra gun shy about the wind though right now!

We drive 4 t post down 2-3’ next to leg then drill hole in post and sink lag bolt into the 4x4 legs. We don’t have any issues in storms with that setup.

That being said I’m not sitting in one of the winds blowing 25+ Regardless of how secure I think it it.

Something else to consider when hunting high winds, even if its anchored down, are there any big trees nearby that could come down on top of the shooting house? I've seen a few hammered by 80 foot tall pines.

T post on each corner with small lag bolt will do it.

Drive a 36” piece of 2” angle iron into the ground about 24” on each leg. Then screw two lag screws into the posts. Ain’t going anywhere.

I dug a hole bout 2 foot deep and drove rebar down further at a angle. Bent one piece into a eye and left it above ground and poured the hole with concrete then used a piece of cable to go from the eye to the shooting house. It ain't blowed over yet but I'm fairly sure it ain't tornado proof either.

No suggestions but I remember a time I wanted to kill a deer so bad I sat in a shooting house and watched a wicked storm pass over me. A few years alter the storm that killed people in Miller's Ferry picked up our sturdiest and heaviest house at the time and obviously slammed it back down so that it looked like several sticks of dynamite had gone off in it. That 'nado went on the only straight line through the property that allowed it to take out 4 shooting houses. It looked as if it was on a mission.
Now I don't even go if it is drizzling rain. Not because I'm afraid but I've killed enough to not put up with any inconvenience. Just like today I'm going to sit at home because it is too warm.

Glad you’re not hurt worse than you are bholmes ! I was putting up a ladder stand 2 years ago this Jan. Thought I was being safe , I had it tied off twice to the tree , about knee high and then head high . Up about 15-16 feet trying to fasten the ratchet strap around the seat . Wind was really blowing. I decided I couldn’t get the ratchet fastened and had started down when I had the sensation I was going backwards. Ladder folded up with me .Compression fracture in my lumbar vertebrae. I consider myself lucky that I wasn’t hurt more seriously. I would suggest the trailer tie downs and always carry your phone. It got me help within 10-15 minutes

Concrete the legs into the ground, or drive a 3’ piece of treated 2”x4” into the ground 2’ and screw them into the legs.

I can't imagine that ride, hope you recover quickly. I use dog tie out stakes (not the ones from Dollar General) and some 2 inch flat strap or wide metal banding material. One stake beside each post, strap through the stake opening and screw it to the post.

Only shooting houses I've ever built have had legs concreted in. Think it'll stay that way now. Glad your ok!

We drive 2x4's into the ground by opposing legs and screw them to the legs.

X3, also had a guy weld some anchors that went in the holes of the legs at the bottom. They were T shaped
