I journeyed to the local Publix on my lunch break today and they had a 18.5 lb'er in the back that had not been cut yet. I told the meat guy thats the one I want !! I got him to slice off 6 inch and a half thick steaks for the grille and he wrapped the rest up as a roast and as George Thorogood said in his song...and out the door I went!! These steaks look absolutely wonderful ! I cant wait to throw them on the grille tomorrow evening for supper . YUM!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the heads up fellers! 6 and 1/2 inch steaks wow, Thats thick!

Any recipes for the bone part of the ribeye? Smoke them. Ya I've gotta figure out this smoking thing myself...I've got a grill made for it but never attempted it...I do love smoked meat tho

If you aren't used to smoking, a pellet grill is like a crock pot, any one can use it and get a great product the first time.

I looked again today. I think it said save $8.70 a pound. That’s well under half price.

I cooked the ribeyes on the charcoal grill after I got home from work this evening. Man, you talk about some count!! All I did was to hit them with some salt and pepper while they were first put on and got them to a medium then took them off and covered them to rest for 10 minutes. Had a baked tater and salad with it. If I had purchased this size steak at Angelos in PC Beach it would have cost me a good $60-70 bucks!! This is the only way to cook a ribeye. Salt, pepper, fire.

I was told Winn-Dixie has them on sale for even less. They had they for $5.99 a pound but were sold out every time I went by.

On sale for $9 lb at my local market…. Seeeesh I cooked three cut 1.25" thick just two nights ago. They were some fine eating. I ran the grill to 500' and put one side down for 2 minutes. Turned cross ways at the 2 minute mark to get the grill marks and lines to look good. After a total of 5 minutes on that side, I flipped and did the same thing for the other side. The only seasoning was salt and pepper. They are one of the best bargains around, but it only happens at Christmas time!
I can't stand a thief.
