Are the ones mentioned dishwasher safe? Dishwashers are tough on pots and pans.

I have a tfal skillet that is non stick that is probably 5 years old and still going strong. I usually just rinse it out and dry it after each use. X2

OK, so I know some of you guys/gals are good cooks. I am wanting to buy my wife some new cookware for Christmas. She has had a set of "simply Calphalon" for about 15 years and its done well. I dont mind spending some coin to get a nicer set at this point tho. Lets set a budget at say $750 for a 10-15pc set. She prefers non stick, not stainless and we have enough cast iron to sink a ship already! We use a gas cook top, no iduction, it WILL BE machine washed, it will not likely be used in an oven as we use cast iron for that. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance! Jason Scanpan

Are the ones mentioned dishwasher safe? Dishwashers are tough on pots and pans. I don't know what All Clad says, but our set gets washed in the dishwasher all the time. There's nothing to damage on the All Clad. The pot handles and lid handles are riveted on, and I mean a rivet, not a pop rivet. They're not coming off.

Salad Master, yep ----- All Clad, yep. The Old calphalon, yep --- You wanting non-stick, hmmm, I'm with others that it will eventually need replacing no matter how good it is ------ Buying cookware for Christmas, you may get Christmas cookies, but not her cookies.

My wife really likes the Hex clad, its not cheap as I recall, to me it cooks like cast iron without any sticking.

I kept looking for a review from you but never saw one. I could have a missed it though. My time on the site is hit n miss throughout the year.

How well does the all clad cook eggs?? Ive had horror with SS and eggs. It doesn't. That's what the one resident non stick skillet in our cabinet is for.

How well does the all clad cook eggs?? Ive had horror with SS and eggs. Fried or scrambled? For scrambled eggs or any omelet, I love a 7" SS All Clad fry pan. I use non stick for fried eggs.

The reason people have problems with SS is because you aren't letting the pan get hot before you put the eggs in. You need to add a fat like oil or butter and let it get hot. SS cooks eggs just fine. Non-stick is fine. We don't have any anymore though and don't have problems with anything.

Winner winner..ss gets hot with a little oil or spray an it will cook an egg fine..they are still clingy..ill admit..we dont cook manh eggs on the kitchen craft..made in usa non stick for the win

How would a husband go about buying a wife cooking lessons as a Christmas present? Major minefield in my opinion to give that.
