Crap when we went to Uchee there was a pic of one that was a 13 point that didn’t meet either criteria. Gw said he couldn’t blame the guy hot shooting him.

Crap when we went to Uchee there was a pic of one that was a 13 point that didn’t meet either criteria. Gw said he couldn’t blame the guy hot shooting him. I met the hunter who shot that buck. Said he wasn’t allowed to register for another SOA hunt for a year or so. He didn’t care. The buck was amazing.

The rules are to protect young bucks. We shouldn’t be punishing hunters when the buck meets the AGE criteria they are ultimately after.

Guy last year at Portland landing killed a really pretty 10pt the first afternoon. The biologist literally showed him pictures where it had been coming to a clover patch every afternoon and told him to go kill it. Probably a 130” deer. It took some fudging with that tape measure to make one main beam 18&1/4”.
