If you don't have any Southern Pro 2" grubs in Wildcat color, I probably wouldn't even go....
I hope I don't ever have to longline for crappie again but when I did, I had at least 2 Wildcats on at all times.

The water I fish is likely WAY more clear than Talquin. I've fished Talquin 3 days a couple years ago but I don't remember what the water clarity was like.
But, even in the gin clear water I'm fishing, I've been doing really good on BGBS "Gumdrop" til the sun gets up high. I tried it on a whim about 3 weeks ago and it was amazingly effective despite the water clarity. Thanksgiving morning I put 5 in the boat and my friend was fishing with Monkey milk. He swapped quickly and started hammering them too.

Not always the best color but with that being said. If I had to choose a single color grub to fish with in any water clarity monkey milk is my choice. I have caught more fish on it than any other color. Oh and not all monkey milk colors are the same. I like the shimmer of the Bobby garland version.

Tossed a white grub with chartreuse tail from our dock (nowhere near Lake mentioned) last Sunday and caught 33. No complaints here 🤷♂️😄
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

I like a Bobby Garland electric chicken. I keep monkey milk as a backup. I've got 8 or 10 colors that I use on a regular basis. Both of those are on the list. It depends on whether it's sunny or overcast and the clarity of the water. Blue Ice, Monkey Milk, Electric Chicken, Cajun Cricket, Hologram Ghost, Double Silver Rainbow, Chartreuse, Pearl White, and a few more are in my boat at all times. I'll start with the more natural colors when it's overcast and the louder colors when it's sunny or muddy.
