Swamp it's killin you aint it. You gun hunt only ? Yes its killing me, I have not got bow hunt yet this year. Archery season opened Sept 15th. We started harvesting crops Sept 9th, we have 200 acres of beans left and 280 acres of corn left. Patience is a virtue with this particular farm, only has 4 1/2 acres of woods on it. It is a mile walk across the farm (open crop fields now) to get to it. I only hunt it on the right wind. Plus I have been remodeling a house that I have to have done before Nov.1st Well, I heard a couple things that tell me you got a good chance and you may just get him. #1 = Mile walk to get to him (sneak) #2 = 4 1/2 acres (funnel) #3 = only going if wind is right (he doesn't know YOU know) Good luck to ya brotha, thanks for sharing

Would be an awesome! Good luck! I hunted him this afternoon, wasn't able to get to my stand until 4pm. Had pics of him at 12:25 pm today. Passed a 130" 10 point that was trailing a doe at 10 yards this evening that I have never had on camera, hoping the double drop would cruise back by before dark. Would like to put him on the ground before the firearms opener Saturday. If I get time and have the right wind I will hunt him again tomorrow. Friday the wind is not in my favor. Passed this buck at 12 yards last Friday afternoon. http://www.aldeer.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3440403#Post3440403

What kind of stuff you hunting him in Swampy? Thick junk? Yes, thick junk. 3 acres of this 4 1/2 of woods was in row crops for years. My BIL and his father quit farming it because of the rocks and it stayed wet. They quit farming it in the early 90's and let it grow up. Family land to the North and NW, nobody hunts to the adjoining properties to the East or South. Have one guy that hunts the farm to my West.
