They’ll come rustle my cows just like they’ll come and get my guns. On a side note I’ve never seen anything like the roller coaster ride the beef industry has been on for the last 6 months. I’d sure shop around yards if I were running/selling as a typical cow calf operation

Best I can get is maybe $1.40 per # on a 500# calf at the salebarn. I make just enough to buy hay & fertilizer & keep beef in the freezer.

I’m with 308, always seem to make enough to pay all the bills and buy something extra for the livestock that is needed due to Mother Nature. They were up a couple months ago and took another dive I guess… was asking the color bc black usually brings a tad bit more around here..may not be the case there. Funny there's no mention of horses, dogs or cats. There is a whole lot more of them the beef,dairy or swine. Just have your cows identify as some thing else, like illegal aliens and get 450,000 each. Lavana registered Augus bull sold in sale at Auburn for $300,000 in the early 80's.
