Awesome deer Matt! Love that high and right rack! I’ve got two good ones showing up in the afternoon, hopefully they stay on that schedule a bit longer.

Thanks guys. This deer far exceeded my expectations from trailcam pics. Rarely do I ever walk up on a deer and say “Dang! He’s bigger than I thought!” I did with him. I knew he was an older buck and had taken on quite a bit of character and abnormalities, but he’s overall a better deer than I realized. He gross scored 145 3/8” easily putting him at my best AL bow kill. His inside spread is only 10 5/8”, also the narrowest mature deer I’ve ever killed. To say he’s different is an understatement. His left base is just shy of 8”. HUGE bases.

That would've been a good un to post for estimates....10 pages minimum 😀

I just got back from Missouri. I had what I thought was a 165" 10-point at 65 yards the first day. I saw him again on day 3 at 150 yards chasing does. A kid killed him 2 days after I left in the same corn field where I had seen him.

He was a typical 10-point but he had 11 kickers over 1" long and scores 182 7/8. I'm happy for the kid but I would have much preferred that I would have killed it.

Dang BGH! What a deer. Congrats to the kid. Sure hate you didn’t lay him down.

I struck out in Missouri again guys.

Maybe I can find one in bama this weekend.

I’m headed to Texas after the first of the year and hopefully I can get some points then.

I failed in KY too. Hunted 42 hours in 4 days and never put my eyes on a shooter.
