Are manufacturers making 30-06 ammo this year?? I have been to several dozen web sites and at least 10 stores and no one has them. Where in the world are they going? Can't be totally that people are hording them, as no one has had any to sell this year. A lot of other bullets are coming out slowly, but not theses.

I know on some calibers, they go through a set production cycle each year, and when they’re gone, that’s it until next year. I wouldn’t expect -06 to be one of those calibers, however. But could be they’ve put something else in super high demand in production in its place. Who knows these days.

I understand the production cycle. but dozens of manufactures produce this and no one has any on the market. This is not a strange caliber, should be plenty produced

Wow, crazy that 30-06 is hard to find.

Easy caliber to reload, though.

I got some last year and then I have loaded some as well. One of the main reasons I wanted a 308 was because I can load it or 7-08 with the same case and powder, only a different bullet. I can do the same with a 30-06 and 270.

Pumping out 9mm 223 and 308 right now then everything else will catch up.stick to those three and you'll always have ammo whether it's a neighbor or store down the road.otherwise stock pile reloading supplies

Agreed.
If you see something you’ve already got, it’s not a bad idea to grab a tad for trading and swapping later.
Most (not all, but most) folks on here are pretty good about sharing a little of their stash if someone else is running low.
I don’t have a bunch, but could spare some 30-06 reloading supplies if you’re about out.
If you’re seriously nearly out of ‘06, hit me with a pm and I’ll try to either help you find some factory loads, or help you load up some.
