Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and new to Central, AL. Just moved here from Louisiana I am looking for a small lease 40-100 acres, for my wife and I to hunt on. She is just getting into hunting and she really enjoys it, so I need to find a place for her to continue her pursuit of her first buck. She has killed several does and hogs, no luck with bucks yet. Any assistance would be appreciated. I have been checking with all the land leasing companies and most of them want list the open leases until late May, June or July. I got several months to continue the search and just want to keep checking in all areas I can think of........I have heard a lot about AL deer over the years and want to get one of those monsters. I got to hunt at Portland Landing about 20 years ago with Mossy Oak, wasn't successful, but got to see some of the habitat that AL has and some of the great deer the state produces every year.

Well you hunted one of the best places in the state during it’s time. Don’t expect everywhere in Alabama to be like that. Good luck with your search.

Yeah, I know, thanks......I am looking to find a place where my wife can at least see deer, I don't have to kill deer to enjoy the hunt any more, I get enjoyment from hunting with my wife and want to see her success in the coming years.
