I started to go out my back door and happened to see a doe eating acorns. I stopped and watched a moment and noticed what turned out to be a 7 pt with her. They were about 60 yds off my back stoop in plan sight in the back right corner of the yard. Then I had the hairbrained idea to try and sneak out both doors and go outside. I made it out and we watched each other for about 3 minutes until they nervously moseyed off.
It was pretty cool to get out the door w/o jumping them and I'm pretty sure I couldn't do that 2 months from now...
I don't know nuthin', I just work here...
Ugh... Care bears...

cool, folks that don't have "yard deer' live in the wrong place.....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

cool, folks that don't have "yard deer' live in the wrong place..... .THATS Right................ x3! we have some very old red oaks in our back yard that are visited every year, as well as our garden. I can go out on the porch and they never spook, but if I start walking down the steps they take off.

I just got through cleaning up my garden in front of the house. I plant it in wheat for a food plot in winter. Sometimes there will be half dozen deer in it in the evenings. Very cool.

New hartselle high did away with my yard deer. May have to find another yard. Just put up a feeder on the edge of the woods and choot 'em after 3:30 p.m. when the school's empty. LOL
