I've got a couple of new Reveal X cams. Never used them before.
I know that Lithium batteries are the best, but have you had decent life from good alkaline batteries?
Also, I know the Spypoints "instantaneous" picture xfer drains batteries badly, is it the same with Reveal?

I just put regular energizers in both of mine. They took over 3000 pic and 3000 videos apiece. The batteries lasted from the beginning of July until Sunday.

twaldrop, what "send type" did you have it set to?

Timely

Timely will suck them down quickly. I use energizer max. Lithium lasts about 50% longer but costs 3x more.

I use energizer lithium and had it on timely. I’ve had several times where I would have a group of bucks come through, it would take a picture of the first buck and I wouldn’t get a clear picture of the others that were following. I read that on the “timely” setting it takes 2 minutes for it to take another picture, it won’t take a picture while it’s sending. After I figured that out I went with the twice a day option and started getting the pictures I was missing

It saves the other pics on the card when you do go check it to change batteries or whatever you will have the other pics. I’m weird I like to know whats there real time especially during season.
