Some are configurable for different lengths, depending on need. I am looking at the Oculus22 hard for this reason.

I've got the Ultra 7. If I could only have 1 that would be the one I picked. Outside of shooting rimfire and subsonic, it is the quietest can I've got. Between the reduced dB level and recoil, my bolt gun is the most pleasant shooting gun I've got This is what I’m leaning towards. What caliber are you using it on?

I've got it on a Bergara Ridge. It really is the most enjoyable to shoot rifle I own.

I would put a brake on it and wear some ear muffs and see if that helps. I wouldn't want a suppressor on a bolt action hunting rifle such as this. It would be better suited on a short barrel .308 or something. I would not reduce barrel length on .300WM for suppressor purposes and if you leave it full length your rifle will be just too long. And I like long barrels. This is too much IMO. A Suppressor has it's place but I would start with just a brake first and go from there.
