When y’all drill do y’all still get good results by just broadcasting fertilizer and not incorporating it into the soil?. I guess if you time it right the rain will work it in and you don’t have to worry about it dissipating

Here’s what I do. I drill mine. I planted Tuesday. I let it get a stand then run my buggy across it maybe 3-4 weeks later. I know I have residual plant breaking down from last years stubble to get me started. I like to shoot for Oct 10 or so if a rain is in forecast. It is fine laying on top of no till stubble

I no-till my corn for years now and I've never incorporated the fertilizer. Always done fine.

Not trying to hijack about the lime.

I have had good luck in the past with planting then coming back a couple weeks later and spreading fert ahead of a rain, also have done it a couple times spreading fert out ahead of the drill.

Lime is just fine laying on top also. It won’t go anywhere
