X3 No real reason other than I appreciate ALL firearms. I have lots of firearms that I have never even loaded. I just like having them. It would be just another firearm in my safe to admire from time to time. Plus, I would have it just in case...

I wouldn't have a firearm that I wouldn't use afield unless it's an antique of some kind.
Every one I have is usable, has been used or will be used. I just don't have enough time to get out and enjoy them all!

Some are limited numbered editions. Some are bought for my kids when they get older. Some have been passed on to me through the family and have sentimental value. Some I just haven't gotten around to shooting.

I think we need to set up a range in your backyard. My backyard is on the interior (not against the swamp) and it is very small with a swimming pool taking up most of it. You're welcome to come shoot mine at the range at Skyline next time I head up that way.

Let Obama get re-elected and you'll find out what the craze is. when he loses it will be worse and you may be damn glad you have an AR...
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Am I the only one that doesn't get it? They are sharp, cool, fun to shoot, whatever, but it seems that I am the only one that doesn't have one or is dying to get one. Maybe i should count my blessings, cause them things ain't cheap!!! I felt just like you and I'm a rifle nut! I decided to hunt coyotes during the summer so I was looking for a dedicated coyote rifle. After checking out a few predator forums and seeing the photos of the ARs they were using, I decided I wanted one! I bought a Rock River Predator Pursuit from Simmons in Bessemer about six months ago. I put a Leupold Vari-X III 1.75x6x32 on it and it's very accurate and fun to shoot. I only own one AR and the Rock River is enough for now.

the only one i ever considered purchasing was the sig ar22 i saw at wal-mart the other night. it was pretty sharp and i could afford to shoot it. i would really like to have a legitimate m16 like i shot in boot camp. an ar is really meant to have full auto capabilities anyway you know. to each his own.

I have shot and carried AR weapons for several years in the nilitary....they are dependable and easy to maintain. However I will not own one I would rather shoot my 17hmrs at the range.I was always taught one shot one kill.lol.
