Started feeling like my allergies were kicking my tail yesterday afternoon, sneezing a ton and nose running like a faucet. Woke up this morning and though breakfast tasted weird and when I got to the office I got the feeling that I couldn't smell because I can always smell the air freshener in our building when I walk in. Sprayed some deep woods off (strongest smelling stuff I had on hand) on a paper towel and stuck it to my nose and could barely get a hint of something (not a bug spray smell though). No fever and I just feel like I do when the ragweed blooms every year. If this is all it is then I'm glad to be getting it out of the way. Boss told me if I felt ok enough to work then to keep working so here I am.

Could be. But sinuse issues can and will cause you to lose your sense of smell (so there goes your taste as well) that seems to long since forgotten since all this covid mess has started.

Yep, any upper respiratory issue I have is usually accompanied by a change in taste. Good luck Elijah!

Well I've been around probably a dozen or so folks in the last week that said they had been "exposed" to it. As well as did an estimate for a guy the other day that had an active case of it but stayed about 20' from him the whole time. I'm not real concerned about it either way, I'll drink some bulleit rye when I get home today to cleanse my system.

Just understand if you do have it the next person you expose to it could be far worse. I’d say go home.

Kind of what I was thinking. It would be terrible if someone who couldn’t handle it got it from you and died. I wouldn’t want that on my conscious

Oh I'd love to go home for the day but my boss says it's all a hoax and told me to stay here and work. If someone else gets it here then I guess that's on him.

My whole family has it. My daughter threw up once at school and that was it, she has been perfectly fine since. My son hasn’t shown any symptoms. I went to get tested cause I felt a little off and I was negative, both kids hit positive. My wife had no symptoms and she got tested due to kids being positive and she test positive. I re-tested this morning and am positive. Last night was rough, 101 fever and my whole body hurt. I woke up this morning feeling fine though.

We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!

I would get that in writing. I would actively avoid people. Protect your coworkers.

my policy for my people is: If you are sick or feel sick, stay home until you are better. If the symptoms are Covid in nature, go get a test and report results back to office. If negative, still stay home until you are well. If you are positive, stay home until symptoms are gone, 72 hours from last fever and/or symptoms and a minimum of 10 days from first onset of symptoms. First, I dont want anyone to get it and second, I cannot afford to have a bunch of people out sick with the China virus so I'm doing everything I can to make sure when one of my people get it, they dont spread it to others. Knowing you feel sick and telling you to stay there at work to potentially expose others is just stupid, even if it turns out that it's not Covid.

By the way, ragweed pollen is exceptionally high right now on the allergy scale and has been for the past 7 days. It's been tearing me up and I've been eating sudafed like it's candy for the past 2 weeks. Good luck either way. Keep us posted.
