I’ve finally got my setup completed. I’m shooting a TBow 19” riser with a set of #45 DAS bamboo core long limbs. For anyone looking at getting into it, I’m shooting a Hoyt satori clone basically for a fraction of the cost. I haven’t settled on a broadhead yet

Well i killed my first last year with my recurve..AMB has taught me a fair amount about trad bows and uve learned alot on my own through many many mistakes. I shoot simmons sharks or steelforce heads..i killed mkn last year with a 145grn steelforce..though i believe them sharks fly a little better..they are just hard for a dummy like me to sharpen. I wish you luck..it is an accomplishment to even attempt🇺🇸👍🏻

been trad all my life(70 years), still trad. I mostly shoot a 69 Bear TD or a Dwyer Defiant hybrid longbow, sometimes a self made Osage longbow with stone self made points.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I can shoot good enough to kill a deer 15yrd, I put it up when I missed a bobcat on the ground at around 17yrds....made me sick n said the hell with it if it'd been a huge buck made me sicker

All traditional here. For almost 10 seasons now. Will never rifle hunt again

I got into it a little last year. Missed a doe. Haven’t worked up the courage to take it with me on places that I have good deer running around.

Killed first archery deer with a 50# Bear Grizzly in 1980, killed others with a 40 lb Samick Sage recurve after shoulder surgery and shoot Toelke Whip or Pika now. So much easier than having to tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen, range yardage, move pin, select right pin, find peep sight hole, buy the latest flapper flophead, etc, etc. just to kill deer at 10 yards or less. But, that's just me.

I used to say I was deadly inside 10 yards, had to change it to 7 yards grin

LOL, thanks goodness I have never said I was deadly at that yardage. However, I have found I miss less. :-)

in many many years of hard hunting I had never missed a 10 yard shot. Then one evening I had a doe stroll up to 9-10 yards and I calmly shot a damn foot over her back with a handmade Osage bow. Damn thing is she ran out to 30 yards and stopped. I didn't intend to shoot but drew and aimed. Brain said "Now" and my fingers let it fly...perfect hit and 40 yard death run. WTH?

LOL, yeah, that seems to happen! It's still fun anyway!

I might be joining the ranks soon, ran across a beautiful Browning Wasp in an antique store on vacation this weekend and if it’s still there on my way back by tomorrow I’m going to pick it up and give it a try
