I have had them both and with both I have to put a rubber mat in to keep my dog kennels from sliding around. I guess I could upgrade to a $700 Gunner kennel with rubber feet and then I wouldnt need a rubber mat. That being said I bought my rubber mat back in 2005 and have had it in 7 different trucks so it has more than paid for itself.

Spray. Drop-ins can trap water, dirt and cause rusting.

I've had all 3 and agree with this. And the same mat is on its 3rd truck and still works fine.

I put a roll on liner from amazon in my truck. So far, so good. But i aint been hauling gravel or masonry blocks either 🤷🏻‍♂️

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I would destroy any exposed painted surface inside the bed it would be scratched to hail and back. And I'm not hauling bricks either just chains and binders and shovels and feed and seed and whatever I dig out from under the tool box I don't know that's under there.

Otherwise you can get by with a rubber mat. The hard plastic liner a NO GO.

Those that say to do a spray in liner cause of scratches, y’all ever seen them spray your bed? First thing they do is scratch every inch of the area to be sprayed. 😂

Another vote for a rubber mat.

Otherwise, spray in. I've never had a problem with rust and plastic bed liners but shite will slide all over the place and sometimes they will wear the paint under them in spots.

ive had both and I like the drop in plastic better. its quitter, when pulling ramps out. and easier to wash blood out of. provides a little cushion for the sides also. I figure if it does scratch the bed then I can get a sprayliner. not to mention its cheaper.

They make good stuff. I will never have another plastic liner due to the paint being rubbed out of the bed down to bare metal
