They are cutting timber on our place in Troy, AL. We've got some really open pines up near the house, they were cutting a few more out of there and nearby. The timber guy told us his cutter watched a hen fly off, he went over and looked and there was a nest full of eggs. They went over and flagged all around it and said they saw the turkey coming back in there later on. Our dominant gobbler must've have been running a touch behind.

Feel like I should go help her protect it. She hung tight until I got pretty close I didn’t even think she was in there

The timber buyer posted a picture on Facebook and showed the logger flagging that nest. Hopefully she will stick with it and be successful.

As long as the predators are color blind they should make it. Otherwise the flagging might be a calling card. I’m rooting for ya we need every poult we can get. Kudos to the cutter

I've got a Spartan on it in video mode. Looks like I got it aimed a bit high, but hopefully might still get some good footage.

Started getting some videos. It was windy today, so I got a bunch of them. She was there pretty much every video...think she only left the nest once that I could tell. Wish I had aimed the camera a little lower and moved the damn flagging tape out from blowing in front of it.
