Pilgrim’s kills 30m head per week. 2nd largest only to Tyson. If it last long it’s going to hurt. Wangs going to be hard to come by.

There are farmers locally that will sell you a steer, take it to the processor, let it dry age for 21 days and bring it back to farm frozen and vacuumed packed with a USDA inspection sticker on package.
That is what I have started doing and if you make the mistake of trying some of the beef you will never go back to the store to buy that crappy beef they sell.
Also it is antibiotic and steroid free.

Pilgrims only caught 3 houses in our area last night. Pushing farmers catch back for a week.. only gonna hurt the farmers. Our company just gave us a small raise a week ago.. they were not affected by the hack job.. hmmm

It's not a good thing. The quality of meat does not match price of meat these days.

It be's that way sometimes.

Buy local. Hell, somebody has 3 cows in the classifieds now. Have them haul it to the processor and pay a kill fee. Split it with a friend and have enough beef for a year.

Good luck getting a processing date that quickly and easily. We have been trying to get one, and finally, thanks to some friends for giving us a spot that they did not use, we dropped one off yesterday morning.

Luckily I have a high school buddy that feeds out beef cows so I got on his list a couple years ago. The meat is great quality, I'm supporting a good Christian fellow and his family, and I have a freezer full. I would encourage all of you to look around, more and more farmers are doing the same thing.

Very true. A lot of the spots reserved are guys raising cows who have not sold them yet. It’s worth calling around to cattle farmers.

Last couple 1/2 I have gotten have been grass fed because my wife said it’s better for us, but the next one will be grain finished or even American Waygu. It’s fine for ground beef and roasts, but a damn steak is supposed to have some tasty marbling.

When producer of pine and beef does not see an increase in their paycheck,WHY in the HELL do prices go up?
None of the woodmills or feedlots are seeing an increase where is there a reason for increase?
I guess the wealthy (some bees) will blame it on wuhan and price GOUGE
