I keep one in the glove box of my truck loaded with snake shot...I've also used it as a hammer in a pinch. for what you want, probably fine. I think the most common issue with them is the hammer spring breaking, but I think it's pretty cheap, too.

I have an old Haws single action 6 gun in .22. Mounted on a .38 frame with steel insert in the barrel. Bought it when I was 12. Fun to shoot. I have squirrel hunted with it.

I never wanted anything to do with one because of the weird looking safety on the side. Id spend a little extra and get the Ruger Wrangler.
