Wanted to see if anyone could help me with locating a lime buggy in central Al around the Prattville/Selma area. I’ve tried the Selma co-op and CPS and they no longer have one.

It’s a little far but gilbertown has some. I’m picking one up tomorrow and hauling it to my place in Toxey

I've been told Clanton has one. I think Wetumpka also has one again

Where is your place? I got Selma Co-Op to come spread a truckload (25 tons?) a couple years ago and it was around $1250 as best I recall. They hauled it there in a dump trailer, dumped it, brought a loader and a spreader truck and loaded and spread it. All we had to do was write a check and provide someone to meet and show the driver all the fields.

If you’re within 50 miles of the Co-Op and don’t need over a spreader truck load (5-7 tons?) I’d let them spread it. Gotta have decent roads that the truck can get down without branches and limbs breaking mirrors off the truck.

One thing that made it real attractive to us was none of us had a tractor with a loader that would reach high enough to load a spreader truck or even a tall lime buggy.

Greensboro coop has one, but that's long way.

How much do you need to spread? Bagged like could work. Costs more but you know.

It be's that way sometimes.
