I planted some packs of seed back in October I believe. I let the grow till the end of December and then pulled all the best looking plants and transplanted them in this bed. Every plant grew great and has made a dang nice onion. They should be ready to pull and let cure in a few weeks. I usually get my plants from Dixondale in Texas but I think I’m gonna try planting the seeds from now on. [Linked Image][Linked Image]

They look great, we also buy from Dixondale. I saw on the news where they were talking to a man about the border problems, they identified him as an onion farmer. Made me wonder if it was our onion guy.

I like Jiffy cornbread.

Pulled all the onions today. Not to bad of a harvest. Some are a little small because I didn’t thin them. Those are gonna be the good ones. Time to start dicing and freezing. [Linked Image][Linked Image]

Those look really good. Ya'll ever grown an onion called a georgia sweet? My dad grew them a few years back and they were the absolute best tasting onion i've ever had. I'd love to get ahold of some. They're a smaller onion.

I’m don’t know how many times I filled the stainless bowls but it was a bunch. We put 80 pints of diced onions in the freezer and kept a bunch to let cure. Also gave some to the neighbor. We had propably double the amount planted in another section of garden then what was in the raised bed. Those were some large onions. I had to quarter them up to get them though the super duper French fry cutter. [Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]
