I used to have my garden in buckets in the back yard.
[Linked Image]

This year after the buckets only being good for a year or 2 I decided to go with something more substantial.
One is 4x2x2 and the other is 8x3x2.
[Linked Image]

I drilled holes in the bottom and put in a layer of egg rock. (18 half cu ft bags)
[Linked Image]

Then placed a layer of landscape fabric and filled the remainder with topsoil. (dirt from the 8 buckets and 43 cu ft bags of dirt.)

nope.
But my hopes is that this will last much longer than the buckets.
I'll add some nutrients every year and keep replanting

My dads setup is a mix of about 6 of those large ones and 6 square 6ft plastic ones. He loves it. Keeps him from bending over and keeps his backyard looking nicer. Grows good with the right mix and drainage.
