bot flys won't hurt her

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

nope. but if that's what it is, it is a remarkable infestation. probably one bad night in the wrong spot. no other deer in her gang has such tufts ...

I had several that appeared that way when the rut kicked in. I purely assumed that it was from being rode by a buck. My thinking was that the front hooves messed the hair up.

ryano, that was a theory early on, but she's going on six weeks with those tufts sticking up. soaking rain doesn't knock down the hair. the tufts have stayed in the same places all this time. she's probably out on the corn right now with her buds ...

the last time i pulled my card, the tufts were starting to lie down. that leads me to thinks the bot fly larvae had reached maturity and dropped away - if it was a bot fly infestation ...
