There's some stateline questions with boats. Where you live, where you plan to doc it. Depends which state it needs to be issued in.

Allstate, I had squirrels eat my wiring harness, battery cables, hydraulic steering hose, and engine harness and they covered it. I've heard bad stories about other Insurance companies not covering rodent damage. It's $300 per year on a $45,000 boat. Cory Bline in Lincoln is my agent.

Call Brandon at Mayer insurance listed above. He is not the cheapest on boats but if you own a boat you have money to throw away I know from experience. Plus Brandon answers when you call and is a great guy.

Thanks guys! We have several carriers to look at boat insurance through and can design a policy that fits your needs specifically. Would love to help if we can! Appreciate all the kind words above.

I’m in Florida. And in the last six weeks have wrecked two lower units on a Yamaha 250. Progressive fixed them both no problem. I don’t have an agent but I would highly recommend that company. Less than a week each time to fix. I pay $600 a year for insurance.

Lot of experience with insurance and my agent does an excellent job of finding the best coverage for the best price. I am with Progressive on a new 24ft pontoon with Yamaha SHO 200 for $720/year.
