7x57_Mauser OP 8 point Joined: Nov 2017 Posts: 2,176 Birmingham	The wife and I have been entertaining the idea of adding another member to the family over the last 6 months, of the furry type, since our black lab "Jake" is 13 years old and slowing down rapidly. We decided on adopting a dog, not for any political reasons or anything, but it makes financial sense for us right now since I'm in dental school and what not. Anyways, without further adieu, here's Parker (as in the shotgun aka "the old reliable"). He's a mix of Jack Russell and Schnauzer and is smart as a whip and seems to have a good nose on him. He's already trailing some squirrel tails I have. His momma doesn't want him to be a hunting dog, but we'll yet see.

Two by Two rescue down in Helena I think is the name of the place. Update: vet said there's not a stitch of Schnauzer in him so I don't know. Maybe a beagle snuck in with the Jack Russell? Anyways, this sucker is smart as a whip and has a nose on him. He's sniffing out squirrels and chipmunks all on his own. Might have to work with him a little on the squirrel side.
