If you get the chance get over there as quick as you can.i caught more bass than I've ever caught in one day. I'm almost embarrassed to admit to how many I caught but I went thru two packs of zoom swamp crawlers in two hours. There are 25 worms in each pack. They ate the bill off of a scrounger I've never had that happen before. Also caught a bunch on a white megabass jerkbait. I bet I set on one spot for 5 hours and caught them non stop until it got dark.

Wverytimw I have to go there I catch like 50 1-1.5lbers. Fun but dang someone needs to keep those little runts

I only make 1 or 2 trips there a year but I do my part in keeping bass for the fryer.

You catching spots or heads...

Fished down there two weekends ago best morning ive had down there in years. Should be really good this weekend. I went through two packs of keitech easy swimmers from daylight until 945am. I would have fished all day, but the wife and 2yr old were ready for a boat ride.

Where is best place to Launch?

I peronally like fishing the Kowlaiga end of the lake, there is a public ramp off hwy 63. Theres ramps and wind creek and blue creek as well.

My buddy hammered the largemouths last weekend. Had some toads.

My wife and I caught so many last week we kept loosing count. Today a clicker counter came in the mail. I said what the heck is this for? She said we won’t lose count again😁

That's pretty much what I caught biggest 5 totaled 11lbs +- most of them were cookie cutter 13-16 inchers

Been keeping the 3/4 to 1&1/4 approx. for last few years.
Throwing back the larger fish.
Usually filet about 50 to 75 small fish for the year.
Sterile lake and too many fish.
Don't expect Coosa sized fish.

I'd love to watch the MLF guys down on martin. Id bet youd see some 50+ lbs days down there. Tons of fish in that lake, just not too many big ones. Ive caught 1 that was about a 5.5-6lb largemouth out of that lake, a few 3+ lbs spots, but most fish are in the 1-2lb range and abundant.

I caught a 7# and my dad caught one that was well over 8# but that was 20 years ago.

Those are probably two of the biggest ive heard of coming out of Martin. Ive been fishing down there since i could walk. We camped at wind creek growing up, and my folks eventually bought a house down there. Most of my childhood memories have come from that lake. My favorite place to be.

Have they moved up yet?
Was at the lake Tuesday doing some pressure washing. Saw a lot of folks running the banks but never noticed anyone catching anything

My bud caught two largemouths over 4 there last weekend.
