I was wondering if anyone could recommend a small actual camera with enough zoom to take decent pics of deer out to a couple hundred yards. My I Phone does not hack it.I am passing on some pretty good bucks these days and would like to be able to take a pic of them since I ain’t shooting them.

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Taking decent pictures out to several hundred yards is extremely difficult, even with a very nice camera. I would recommend a sony handycam, so long as you stay within 200 yards or less. You can take stills or video with it and they have a decent zoom.

Can you share a pic you've taken at distance?

Also as James mentioned, I have seen a lot of people use binoculars to take pics/video with their cell phone.

The deer are around 250 yards and the turkeys probably 300 yards.....

This one is to show it taking a pic at dark.....Not quite as good but still not bad. It does well in full light.

I just realize something looking at those pics......That second to last deer pic is the same buck I killed the following season.

Is this the one you told me about that only came for a few days that year and showed back up the following year around the same time? Awesome buck by the way.

Thanks!......No this is a different one......I think its actually happening pretty often and not just here at my place......It's just that its not always so easy to recognize. Keep in mind now that this is one food plot on 25 acres. When I say they are returning to the same spot, they are literally returning to the same spot.

I completely agree. I've had the same experience with several bucks who show up within the same week as they did the previous year. One of them we were able to kill this year.
