Reasonable, around $5000. What you paid $7500 to $8500.

$2750 for original work which included painting den, 2BR, 1 bath, lay tile in kitchen, and sheet rock work. We were gonna do the rest ourselves. Once we saw how much work that was gonna be and how long it would take us to prep, tape, ect., we decided to just let them do it all. So we added painting master bed and bath, breakfast room and kitchen, redo the outside casings and doors and lay the laminate flooring. Final bill was $4462. Never paid that much before but then again, we’ve never had this much work done at one time either. It looked great and the guy was super nice. I feel a little better seeing some of the figures y’all are throwing out.

I would say you got a pretty good deal for the amount of time they worked.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me, maybe even on the cheaper side.

That feller is probably on a painting forum right now asking why his most recent eye check up was $200 to read some numbers and have a few puffs of air blown in his eyes laugh

That’s pretty reasonable if they did a good job.

I own a painting business and without seeing it, my labor would have been 3500-4000 plus materials just to paint and fix the Sheetrock.

I did all that and more to the new house we bought. I’m talking 300 square feet of tile (I laid 100 ft of it In the bathrooms myself, paid a guy to screw up the rest in the kitchen) repaired the Sheetrock, prepped and painted the living room, dining room, Kitchen, hallway, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Painted every door, all the trim work, fixed squeaky subfloors, rewired several switches, fabbed several doorway thresholds, repaired windows, etc. Did every bit of the work myself other than the tile in the kitchen. I paid the tile guy $1200 and he did a piss poor job. I probably spent $4,000 in materials. So $5200 in a complete remodel. One bathroom I added board and batten work, new toilet, new mirror, built and installed a new overhead cabinet above the toilet, all new faucets and hardware. Tons of work that isn’t done yet.

Thanks guys! We’re pleased with the work and the guy did a real good job with all of it. We still need to paint baseboards and touch up the ceiling in some places where the original paint got on it years ago. Install some light fixtures and a ceiling fan. I’m sure a few other things as well.
