What are the current temps up there? The water was 44-47 degrees in Mud Creek last weekend. Fish were not up in there. Unless the water has gotten up to mid 50’s, guessing the bass are still offshore. We have a club tourney there this Sat.

I can handle the rain. Just hope the high winds stay away.

Last week Jimmy Washam won on the G by fishing offshore eel grass and particularly the depressions in those areas. Lipless crankbait and chatterbait. They will probably still be in there.

9 of the top 10 fished that pattern. The one guy who didn’t was throwing an umbrella rig on ledges.

The bass were up in there, bass fisherman were just not catching them. We were crappie fishing with big shinners and could not keep the bass off. And some good ones at that. The bass are in there if you find them. The area we were catching them was where nobody was throwing a bass lure.

Just got home.
13 lbs won the boater side. Guy had (5) fish all on a chatterbait. 9 lbs won the no-boater side. Guy had (3) fish with two coming on a swimjig shallow. I finished 2nd on the no-boater side with (3) @ 7lbs. All fish on a homemade chatterbait.
Water temp ranged from 48-53. Going back for the Federation Nation tourney next weekend. Heard 27 lbs won the Fishers of Men this weekend. Not sure what lake they were on.....
PS: Our big fish was a moose at 8.8. Not sure bait or pattern for that one.

Not a drop. Beautiful day. Current was ripping and wind blew a bit, but it warmed up and the fish bit.

Fished Federation this weekend. Bite was tough on Friday. Saturday, we caught some small fish early on rattle baits. The bite didn’t get good until late. We changed areas to N Sauty and focused on that 4-6 ft range with grass. I culled and my partner had a bad day landing fish. I had (3) again @ 7lbs. 17 lbs was leading the boater side when I left. He caught his on a crankbait in 4-6ft of water over the grass. One of our guys had 16+. He focused on that 4-6ft grass range too, but caught a 4+ swimming a jig later in the day when it warmed up. We found 61 degree water on Friday in Roseberry? creek. Saturday it had dropped to 55 with the north wind.
Learned a lot about that lake this weekend and will look at it differently now.

Stayed between 54 and 55 all afternoon yesterday at Town Creek. Only managed 7 keeper Crappie. Was it you and your 200 closest friends in Town Creek?
