May be a dumb question but here goes:
The places I have seen where they use a forestry mulcher, when they are done there is a coating of mulch covering the ground. I am guessing this would need to be removed if you are planting seed???
My other thought is, once done it sounds like the location would be susceptible to runoff and something to hold the soil would be critical initially. Maybe some millet?
Seeds are going to find their way to dirt, but not all of them. If you get a stump ground, it could ba a long time before that spot will grow anything.
