Curious what one might expect in mid-April?

As far as gobbling activity - peak gobbling will be over. It will really depend on what kind of weather you get, which you can’t plan for now.

Not sure about the SOA but I have hunted private land across the creek. It was covered up with turkeys, but it did have very good habitat with low pressure.

Ive hunted what is now 5 & 6 when it was private, and 7 & 8 two years ago. Skeeters and ticks. Flat. Hard to course a bird, but there's birds there. Ill look at the map to refresh my memory and give you some more info.

I hunted it 4 years before Forever Wild bought it. Turkey hunting should be really good then. Take me with you for a guided tour smile

Hunted 1&2 last year in April. Heard a single gobble.

Hunted 8&9 year before and was successful. 8&9 is beautiful timber.
