Yeah glad it is over not to do a few projects for wife and get ready for fishing

The last 4 months have been the best of the last 12 months. We are so fortunate to have a 4 month season to hunt deer.

Been a good season for me and I’ve got
to say Aldeer makes it even more enjoyable!

In my part of the state I wish it still ended at the end of January,

I never understood people hunting so hard or often that they got burned out on it before the best part of the season. The last several years that I did hunt, I went opening day and then didn't go again til after Jan 1.

Bucks are still chasing at the house this morning. We need 2 weeks off November added to February here, but my hands up!

From rut to spawn glad it’s over break out reels

My thoughts exactly and I’m glad it’s over..

I know that it is different in different parts of the state. But for me, the best part of the season is opening weekend through about Jan 5.

I'm always glad when the season ends but within a week or two I'm eager to get back in the woods to prepare for next year.

I got done w bucks early and had just started back hunting does - it would hav been nice to shoot few more does - but weather the next few weeks shows ton of rain - will be glad when it here again - some nice young bucks look like they gone make it and a few old ones appear to hav made it

As far as season length - my oldest deer started showing up in camera lot more the last few weeks and starting around feb 3rd in daylight - it’s still on right now where I at and we usually see a flurry in March - deer season long enough though - time for turkey and only good thing about all this rain - maybe it will keep the turkey from gobbling

I'd go today if it was still in. Next week, we are getting a cold snap, I would hunt then too.

I am! Our rut was done by the 20th of January and pretty much is ever year!!

It isn't always about the rut. Plenty of deer are killed before and after.

Yeah, no offense to anybody at all, but I wish it would go back to ending in January.

I just never got real fired up and mad at em this year. Went plenty but mainly cause I felt like I needed to.

Next year I think I’m going to plan on bow hunting the first week. Then shut it down completely until after Christmas. Try and hunt hard from the new year to about Jan 20th maybe a few times after if I don’t scratch something out in that time.

Of course I say that and will prob have some big buck deer driving me crazy and in the woods all season long lol
