On mine, the lower unit of my O/B blocks a lot of the left screen. You can split it and run two transducers, one on each side. We did on the fire boat. It's amazing the the difference it made.

On mine, the lower unit of my O/B blocks a lot of the left screen. You can split it and run two transducers, one on each side. We did on the fire boat. It's amazing the the difference it made. Much cheaper to run the boat with the starboard side facing the bank. 90% of my time is down scan anyway.

I snapped a pic this morning on a trip to Wedowee, I was on a flat. I think that's your head unit giving problems, not your 'ducer.

Update, I called a Humminbird tech & described the problem. He was very nice & helpful. That alone will keep me as a customer. Although the warranty is out of date, he is sending me a new SI transducer & told me if that doesn’t fix the problem to give him a call back. I will update here as soon as I have the new transducer installed & have a chance to try it.
