Any body seeing em chase there yet? We have seen them kinds pushing and nosing; no real chasing. There are actually feeding in fields at same time. Seen lots of lone yearlings, so I thought maybe????? Scrapes are still being hit, so maybe it is literally happening as we speak.

We killed 3 bucks just south of fort Davis in bullock co this weekend. Saw some chasing. Hopefully the big boys will be on their feet this weekend

I had a small 5pt chasing a doe Friday afternoon. Me friend killed an 8pt chasing a doe Saturday. Problem is those have been the only 2 does I have seen. The rest have been small bucks with not a care in the world

Just stood on the back porch and listened to two bucks fight for nearly 20 minutes.....pretty cool!!.......It should bust wide open over the next 5 days

I hunt the south west corner near the bullock Montgomery county lines. Our bucks are on the move. As CNC said it’s about to be wide open.

Cell cams are showing does on fields still, no bucks checking them, so let's hope this incoming rain pins em down till the weekend!

Im in north Macon county near Notasulga. Just had a good buck come by chasing two does. Deer was at least 3 & 1/2 years old and he wasn’t cutting them any slack.

We saw a little chasing about a week ago but not hard yet. Seeing a few bucks checking food plots for does or so it seems. Hopefully it'll crank up. We're over by Tallassee.

We are in Hardaway, had a nice buck on cell cam watching does on field last night. No chasing that I saw, they fed together.

Not Macon Co, but Waverly doesn’t seem to have a rut thus far.

Well, 22-24th was a DUD for us. We saw does, family groups of does, couple spikes and 1 6pt. We hunted plots, bedding area, travel corridors. Scrapes were finally getting hit after rain on SAT. Just nothing really moving during daylight. May have been warm weather that dropped the daylight movement.

The normal 10-15th period when it is typically "on" didn't happen. been rainy windy and warm most of the time- probably didn't help. Pressure has not been good but a couple mornings last two weeks. small bucks wandering aimlessly, no chasing or sign. No older bucks seen.

I wonder if we sometimes have things like EHD outbreaks hit some areas and lower the buck population ahead of the season which in turn widens the buck to doe ratio and causes us to have what seems like a weak rut in those years......just a thought....I believe EHD effects bucks at a higher rate
