The hunters orange don't meet the required number of sq inches/full hat During dates and in areas open by regulation to gun deer season, including youth deer season and muzzleloader deer season, all persons hunting any wildlife species, except foxes, raccoons, and opossums during legal nighttime hours or turkey or migratory birds (including crows), are required to wear an outer garment above the waist with a minimum of 144 square inches of hunter orange or either a full size hunter orange hat or cap Nothing is said about the bill of the cap. Actually it is, it says full size hunter orange hat, that's including the bill...

I wear it until I am out of site of the public road. Then I either reverse my hat or stick it I’m my coat pocket. Pisses me off every time I put it on to walk in on my own property. If I get shot, it will be by someone who was not supposed to be there in the first place. That's the reason I wear it, even on my own property and my lease. I ain't worried about the folks that are supposed to be there, they know where I'm hunting and how I'm going to and from there. Coming out after dark I always turn on my cap light or a flashlight.

Had an uncle who wore blaze orange coveralls and killed as many as anybody. I wear an orange hat when I am at the farm whether I'm hunting, filling feeders or just riding the gator. If somebody shoots at me and hits me with a rifle it probably isn't gonna matter if my name is on the deed or not.
