Just wondering what it looks like for us guys that hunt in Clarke co.. as for me seen a bunch of deer this past weekend but no shooters. Heard a bunch of shots Saturday and Sunday so I’m assuming it’s heating up in my area. I am north of Coffeeville, just before Marengo co..

What Fred said.

From 15th on it’s possible, better the longer we go.

I would guess next week should be good.

It’s not quite there yet, but seeing a lot of bucks on their feet. Several quality 3 year olds and shooters on cameras during daylight..

We hunted just outside of Coffeeville, at Harris Creek, up till I was in my mid 20's. We usually killed more deer the last week of January than the whole season combined.

I don't think it's happening yet. Maybe in some parts of the county (I've heard down around C'ville), but not the vast majority of it.

I had one of my top shooters from last year show up on 1/8 on daylight cruising a road - he 4 easy - stud I ha d not seen in 13 months

Son shot a crap rack buck sat that was chasing - he had same rack last year - screwed up 16 plus inch spread buck that is 4 easy - picture of him scull works posted in here - the live pic much better - deer was stiff as board and we had to strain just to try to get pic - dead pic not that good - our hands covering most of rack

Prob what Fred said - it getting there quick and I getn lot of new bucks in camera - I would get n the woods

A lot of new bucks showing up and hitting scrapes still. Sucks I'm gonna miss the entire rut on our place this year frown

I’m west of there but they were running like crazy at my place this weekend. There was two nice 3 year old bucks killed over the weekend on our land chasing does and just about everyone hunting saw some nice bucks and bucks chasing but the big shooters are still illusive

Few deer sightings except the last few minutes of daylight. Small bucks pestering.

Have seen a couple of nice bucks the last two evenings crossing a public dirt rd in Monroe Co. The one yesterday was 18"+ and a very good buck.

The highway dead deer rut-o-meter (43 between Tville and Grove Hill), says it’s heating up.

Took my son and sat w him in Clarke county today - we saw a nubbin - wind was good but deer also came behind us and snorted
Wind was also correct for our small field and there were running tracks there when I check cam earlier in the day - wish we would hav sat there
He shot solid deer last weekend chasing on same property

May have been, my granddad, uncle and dad were in that club for a really long time. I have a bunch of great memories down there.

We hunt close to Walker Springs. Least amount of scrapes or deer I’ve ever seen for this time of year. It should roll any day now leading up to the full moon.
