I hunted in that area for a number of years down around the sod farm......We always started seeing a little chasing after Christmas and then it got heated up between Jan 10-20

Heading downtown down Friday for a few days. Will be hunting about 5 miles west of eufaula off hwy 82. Any reports on rut in that area? We’re 8 miles west of Eufaula on 82 !!! Our rut generally is now for the next week. Bucks have been bumping does and some chasing and grunting but now full out yet. I killed a 9pt last Sunday and an 8pt this morning. I'm in north Dale County a couple of miles south of Barbour and I'm still seeing young bucks chasing and cruising. Still no daytime pics of anything 3+ years old.
