I hunted in that area for a number of years down around the sod farm......We always started seeing a little chasing after Christmas and then it got heated up between Jan 10-20

I have friends who hunt just outside of Eufaula on 82 and I've heard exactly what CNC said except this year they complained about not seeing much right after Christmas.

We’re 8 miles west of Eufaula on 82 !!!
Our rut generally is now for the next week. Bucks have been bumping does and some chasing and grunting but now full out yet. I killed a 9pt last Sunday and an 8pt this morning.
If you’re on Facebook our page is Big Branch Hunting Club.

Young bucks starting to push does in West Central Barbour County near the Pea River. Big ones have not cranked up yet.

Any updates on Barbour County rut? Seems a little later than normal this year.

I'm in north Dale County a couple of miles south of Barbour and I'm still seeing young bucks chasing and cruising. Still no daytime pics of anything 3+ years old.
