I am present here in Greene county on a plot that is my sons favorite even though not many deer ever seen on it ....but the ones that do get seen are pretty good bucks

Sent Stephen to a double stand we set up just for the rut. And just our luck the ladder had pulled apart so he had to go back up to the shooting house. He did just have a 2yr old 7 ease through. I’ve seen our resident doe and twins and the twin brother to the little bitty spike from yesterday afternoon.

Sat down at 8 on a powerline and got the wife 6-700 yds on down. Seen two doe and three bucks chasing them already, saving my last tag and hoping they pop out on her down there.

We ain’t seen crap since 7.

Sitting on a pond dam watching a planted pine hillside. Ruts going pretty good in my little peace of heaven.

Been slow, Moved locations. Set up on the ground in some limestones and cedars mixed with hardwoods I’m on a bend in a creek they cross regularly. I can see 100 to the left and 150 to the right down the creek. Had a river otter come up out of the creek and slink past me at 10 yards. We were both equally surprised to see each other lol! That was pretty cool encounter you don’t see every day.

I’m on a road in the pines with corn on it. I ain’t seen squat. Other 2 hunters on the property have been covered up this morning. This “south” wind has been East all morning for me. Did heard a turkey gobble though!

I’m the only one at the office.

Saw 3 does

On My last hunt of the Alabama season. Back in the bottom I killed my buck at yesterday morning. Had to pull my climber out of here before heading back to FL tomorrow morning. so figured I’d just hunt it again. Plus I don’t really feel good about a green field this evening with the moon and warm weather. Good luck everyone out there this afternoon.

No deers but saw a bunch of hogs and turkeys.

I'm starting to think that there's something to those feeding charts......already have deer feeding out in my field

Saw spikes number 8 and 9 of this season. That makes 22 spikes total the last 2.5 years on various areas of the wma I hunt. 15 of these have been within bow range. Pretty frustrating.

Me too....im starting to think the deer where I hunt dont know how to read them to know when they supposed to be feeding

my first thought.

Wife brought my son to me at the club this evening. Took him to a small plot where I saw this doe Saturday evening. As fate would have it, she walked out at 4:40 and he dropped the hammer on her!!

Saw 4 bucks and 3 does. I missed one of the bucks I was after two times. He was following a doe up a steep hill in a clearcut probably 125-150 yards away and I just missed twice.

We saw bucks at last light but couldn’t make out what they were. I needed 5 more minutes and Austin would have probably laid the hammer down.
