For this year? I go to a place in Dallas SD. Pheasant View is the name. It's mighty fine . These folks are not corn farmers who have pheasants for a sideline, just opposite they raise corn for pheasants. He has strips called shelter belts for cover. They can handle groups of 20. Gregory and Tripp counties SD are supposed to be the pheasant hunting capital of the world. I go with a group that goes there every year.

Believe it or not, check into the west Texas area. Lubbock, Plainview, Hereford, Amarillo. I grew up hunting pheasants on the family farm outside Plainview.

I’ve shot pheasant in SD several times, and with that being said it is a long way to go to shoot three birds per day. I had my limit several times in less than 10 minutes. Luckily I was always with a fairly big group, and most of them couldn’t shoot worth a crap, so we got to hunt 3 or4 hours per day.

Bobs resort Gettysburg SD. They push 1 mile fields with big groups.
Rader Lodge in Glen Elder KS. They have some wild birds and some not so wild birds. They use pointers but it is still fun.

I’ve been hunting pheasants here in Iowa every weekend. It’s public ground but good numbers of birds.

We use to go every year to KS and made a few trips to SD , We killed a lot of wild birds in KS but little by little the population decreased to near nonexistent. we give up on it. Only way I’d go back is with a outfitter and that’s above my pay grade.

Don’t fool wild calling the game warden or reading their bird reports before you go, they are as fake as Biden and CNN lol
