Trying the spot I missed the 7pt a few weeks ago. Brought the pop up blind along since we might get some rain in the next hour.

Had a doe @20 feeding for about 15 min. She left from a big gust and a 5 minute downpour from the rain band that’s moving through.

Winds shifted post front. Been busted 3 times since...

Got here about 45 min late but in a tree. Nothing but wind so far

Wind was 100% in my favor but it did a 180 after that front. Just before I headed out, that 7-8pt I missed a few weeks ago stepped out at15yds He winded me as I was grabbing my bow. Taking out the flintlock the rest of this week. Maybe I can get lucky again.

Left the public behind and went and hunted some nicely managed private this afternoon. Had a bachelor group come up to about 50 yards and about to get in range, but they had to cross directly downwind of me. We all know how that goes. Wind was still blowing dead from the west at sundown, really needed it to be north. Nice to get into some deer though
