FYI...I didn't know this either. I'm using the Choc wma map for reference. 220-2-.55 https://www.outdooralabama.com/wildlife-management-areas/wma-rules-and-regulationsThere was a discussion on Facebook about wearing orange on WMA's. If you're from here, it's always been known that orange was only required during any gun hunts. Turns out, the rule was changed about 5 years ago according to my correspondence with DCNR and the discussion on FB. When you read the WMA map, where it refers to orange, #13- <> #16 it is now required to wear orange when hunting ALL species (except Turkey, just read ther notes). This means during BOW season also! They also informed me that they wlll be changing the maps again ro remove the other references to wearing orange because I pointed out to them how confusing the rules regarding this requirement was on the map. For instance, these entries on the map make no sense and lead to more confusion.: "FERAL SWINE (Special Season) COYOTE: Oct. 2-10 and Mar. 1-10. Permitted firearms & archery equipment and hunter orange requirements same as for gun deer hunts on the WMA. No buckshot. No dogs allowed. Daylight hours only. FURBEARER TRAPPING (excluding feral swine): Nov. 2 – Feb. 29. Trapping permits must be obtained from Area Biologist. All trappers must wear hunter’s orange while trapping on days of gun deer hunts. Closed on Mt. Longleaf NWR Segment." The bad thing was, I couldn't find ANY reference in old digest publications, older state laws etc., that this change was ever publicised!! Not very smart of the State to change this and NOT broadcast it like they do other major changes. I don't think it was changed 5 years ago, more like 2 because the 2018 Choc wma map was written; 15. For any person to hunt deer on days of scheduled gun, flintlock, feral swine, or primitive weapons hunts without wearing above the waist a minimum 144 square inches of hunter orange color, or either a full-size hunter orange hat or cap. The hunter orange must be of solid color, except for a small logo on the front of the cap, and visible from any angle.

Not a bad idea to wear orange on public land IMO.

So your actually replying to an outback post? I reply to them all the time. I don’t agree with him on some things and some things I do. And yes I was asking him a specific question.

He is so short, the only thing they could mistake him for would be a turtle or a rabbit.

I can't say it's safer, but I don't think it's unsafe. I'm simply stating my own opinion, that I prefer not to look like a flashing neon beer sign.

Well, you won’t find this guy wearing orange during bow season ever. If green jeans writes me a ticket for it I’ll go before the judge and plead my case.
