Anybody have experience with sharpening single bevel heads? I shot two this weekend and have been trying to get them back sharp but I'm not having good luck with one of them. I tried using the honing band on my work sharp and then hit them with a leather strop. Got one shaving sharp but the other just doesn't seem to want to get there. Any suggestions?

I know it lol. Hell the one I shot the coyote with went through the yote and buried up at least 10" into the dirt. These things are something serious.

I bought the stay sharp guide for my Grizzly Stick single bevels but it doesn't seem to be the correct angle. They say you can put masking tape on the rollers but it's not working for me yet. Looks like the best way though is to buy the high grit sandpaper and work from course to fine. The Hunting Public has a good video, that's where I got the idea to buy the guide but I finally had some luck just free-handing on the sand paper. I've got one that buried up in the dirt from this weekend that's going to take a lot of work.

Which grizzly stick heads are you shooting? I've got the Maasais but I'm starting to think I may have been better off getting one of the styles with a straight blade. The curve on the maasai is looking like it may be difficult to sharpen.

The 125 grain samurai, straight blades. I wish the cutting diameter was a little wider but they are scary sharp out of the box.

Look up Clay Hayes or Ranch Fairy on YouTube, they both have videos on how to sharpen single bevel broadheads.

I shoot the Samurai 200s and i'll say the straight edge is much easier to sharpen.
