What’s the best climber for an old man? I’ve seen several positive posts about the Summit Goliath. Suggestions? A sit and climb type is the easiest. I like Lone Wolf the best. Summit is good. I had an older API which would work.

summit, best for the money. Summit is the best, period. I’ve got six Vipers and two Goliaths. Love hunting from climbers, and I leave them in the woods during the season. Can’t beat em.

I hunted out of ol man stands for 12 years or so. If you climb a red oak its gonna slip some but you learn to anticipate it. One year before the season came in I was checking my stands, hung it on a tree and put all my weight (220#) on the end of the bottom piece and the crimp on the cable broke...never climbed in another one. Bought a couple summit Goliath stands and haven't looked back. Great stand. Very safe and comfortable enough to sit all day in.
