That’s why if I give something away I use my neighbors driveway. In case someone gets pissed off I’m good.

The common problem here seems to be Facebook. Here's your sign.

Yep I’m with you. If I say I’ll come check it out or take a look at it. That means we are still negotiating. As well as somebody else can still step in and buy it. If I say I’ll take it that means the dealing is done and it’s down to when and where to take possession and pay. Once the when and where are finalized we have a verbal contract. If either doesn’t show they are no better than a welcher.

What I can’t stand is the people that don’t show. If you say you’re gonna be there. Be there. Goes for buyer and SELLER. I’ve had it happen on both sides.

As a side note, thank you for spelling ridiculous correctly. I see it all the time now spelled rediculous.

I put a worn out John Deere ZTR mower on market place for $200.00. Honestly, I was afraid I’d have to give it away because I had already been quote $1,000.00 worth of work from a dealership, which I even stated in the add. Had it sold within 20 minutes. I marked the item sold. People continued to send me messages asking to purchase it. I replied that it was sold to the first 20 or so people. After that, I just quit replying to them. I figured if they were stupid enough NOT to read the add, then no possible explanation would help. People were pissed that I either 1) had already sold it, or 2) that I wouldn’t respond to them after marking it sold. The amount of entitlement people feel is unbelievable.

You are so right. I just got hit up with a person interested. I had to check and see if it said sold on the ad and it does.

Sold my truck recently and had a guy say he wanted it and offered to pay a binder on it(it was a Sunday) until he could get to the bank. I told him no need that his word was good enough. I literally had people saying they could show up before him(this was at 9 pm on Sunday night), folks saying they didn’t care if he had already paid a binder on it that i should sell it to them. It was crazy.

Another one recently was i posted an old beat up atv for my boss. It wouldn’t let me put his number in the post and show up so I edited the pic with his number and a note that said call him. I also spelled the number out in the body of the post and said call him that it wasn’t mine i just had it posted for him and wasn’t replying to messages. I lost count at the folks that kept messaging asking if it was available or could i take X amount. I was starting to get aggravated and this fellow messages asking something stupid so i said “follow the info in the post” well ole dude tripps out on me saying i wasn’t nothing but a smartass, that wasn’t anything but chicken scratch in that post and he couldn’t read the number(which is why it was typed out in the pics), and told me to shove the mf’r up my smartss. Wasn’t my fault he couldn’t follow directions.

I don’t understand why people list stuff for $2 or $5. Are you that hard upt? It’s not worth the $5 to deal with the idiots. I’d throw it in the trash before listing something for a few bucks.

I think yard sales are the dumbest idea women ever had. I'll never understand the logic. You work for a week getting it ready.
Wake up before daylight on Saturday morning and entertain 100 strangers, who had nothing better to do than wake up at daylight and go looking for a $2 shoelace.
At the end of the day you're worn out and made a profit of $39.00
No thanks, I'll just throw all that crap, you don't want, on the burn pile and save the trouble.
