My daughter could do a better job of welding then whoever built that trailer. No way the owner of a business should’ve let that leave the shop. I would be at the door waiting on them when they open up again.

That’s awful. But I wouldn’t have recommended loading your equipment on it. May give them ammo to say you used it anyway.

I hope that nothing that bad has every left ours. We are far from perfect and have royally screwed up some stuff, but when we have we've done the right thing and fixed it for free.

That first pic would do it for me, that big corner gusset going from the neck to the front of the trailer is one of the most important welds on the whole trailer. If that feller went to Fur's week long Mig school he must have only went one day and skipped school the rest of the week. With a good machine and a little training bout anyone could beat that .

Sho nuf. One week welding school doesn't qualify anybody at our place to do any structural welding. To do that requires my trust and that had to be earned and that takes at least a year or so of not seeing one bad weld from the guy. We've got 11 guys in the shop. I have 5 that I would have let weld that gusset you mentioned, the spring hangars, the neck, the hitch and ramp brackets. Regarding the OP's trailer, I've got a bunch of stake pocket and rub rail welders but not many "important" welders.

Well they said either they would buy the trailer back or I could just settle for their product. They said obviously I’m to hard to make happy so I told them to stick the trailer up their ass and I went and bought a brand new top hat from port city in Mobile. Not only did I save 1200 dollars but the trailer is actually quality built for less money. If y’all see an orange trailer from circle w for sale id steer clear of it

So why didn’t you sell it back to them?

I hope nobody buys that death trap.

If I owned Circle W, I'd make my men grind the name off of that one and park it right in front of the employee entrance so they had to walk around it every day to get in the building. After a year or so I'd pull it around to the boneyard. We all make mistakes, especially greenhorns but where was QA during the build? And where was the shop foreman?

I’m glad you came out good on that. Those were some horrible weld. Some looked already broken from the surface.

We got two trailers and two flatbed truck bodies from Circle W about 30 years ago.
They were very well built and still being used today. Obviously circle W has changed some in 30 years.

Any company can have a problem. Sounds like they did the right thing and came and got it and gave him his money back. Hopefully it will make them look at their quality and get back to doing good work.

I will say I bought a top hat gooseneck and it’s by far is one of the better built ones that I’ve owned. I highly recommend them if someone is in the market. It’s crazy this trailer is way better built than the circle w and it was a 1000 dollars cheaper

The people from Circle W said you were hard to please, or the trailer dealer said that? Or did you buy direct from Circle W? Did they see the pictures?
