We have a older 5th wheel at our land. Covered awning. The sun is just evil on those roofs. Always......always shut the water off and make sure the black water tank is empty. A solar powered fan is helpful too.

I use to by a big bag of 100% natural charcoal and lay it in the floor, with it cut open and exposed. The charcoal will help absorb the moisture and odor. It made a big difference. May take more than one bag. You will also need to swap it out every few months.
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

I have a dehumidifier I run when I'm not there. In the summer the water reservoir is always full if I check it weekly. That's a lot of moisture removed.

We used damp rid. Stuff works. Our old hunting camper stuck out about 2 feet from under our covering on one end. Roof got soft but never leaked. I flex sealed it with tape and caulk every year. That end of camper would get moisture no matter what we did. Kept it ventilated, had a dehumidifier, and used the damp rid. Still had some mildew smell. I was always amazed at how much water would be in those trays whenever I’d go check on them. If u see yourself staying in the camp, invest in a covering that will completely cover the camper with room to spare.

you need somethingto keep humidity down whether you install a dehumidifier and drain it thru the wall or just keep the AC set around 80 while you are away they will both serve the same purpose. mold will start growing over 50% humidity and in the summer time in AL we normally have 70%-90% something has to pump out that moisture. FYI I bought two GE 45 quart dehumidifiers at homedepot on clearance for $74 each normally $275 two weeks ago you might want to check and see if they are clearing them out at any other locations.

Leave the AC on set on 80 and begals roach spray for the lady bugs and wasp that find a way in somewhere.

I keep the AC set at 80 when not occupied. Cool seal the roof every other year.

Also, I throw dryer sheets all over my camper after hunting season.
Not only does keep your camper from smelling musty, it keeps bugs and mice out.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
