The 3 hens and 8 poults that have been hanging around my house have joined up with another group and there is about 25 turkeys in it. That is by far the biggest group of turkeys that we've had in the 26 years I have lived here. The bad news is that they have destroyed my chufa patch. They were just starting to put on tubers and they are scratching the field clean. All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
