Yep, I got an instapot two years ago and the first thing I did was boil peanuts. In one hour you can have the best peanuts you ever tried.

I use the steam setting, and put 60 minutes on the timer. Close the whistle valve and release the pressure after 60 minutes. It'll take several minutes to vent, so don't place it under your cabinets or anywhere you don't wish to be salt steamed.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Why would you want to rush boiling your peanuts? When are you supposed to drink beer? It's not rushing. It's called expedited. And you can drink beer while enjoying those delicious morsels.

Why would you want to rush boiling your peanuts? When are you supposed to drink beer? Because drinking BEER and eating boiled peanuts is a whole lot better than drinking BEER and watching peanuts boil.

😉👍 I use the high pressure setting too. When you turn the steam valve to "closed" it will still vent excessive pressure so no need to worry about any kind of explosion. Just turn it to vent before opening, and allow it to completely depressurize.

Ralph at our camp makes the best I’ve ever had and I love them things. He makes a chicken broth from rooster bones and only uses green peanuts. He warshes them in cold ice water and adds his broth and water and sea salt. I know his recipe but not the preportions. I e tried and tried but can’t make them like he does. Makes the camp house smell right

Call Fidler Farms In Baldwin County and have them ship you a bushel of the super jumbos when they start digging after Labor Day. According to their FB page, they won't have any super jumbos this year.

I tried my instapot for boiled peanuts and let them go75 min, and natural release. They were still pretty crunchy, so I went another 20 minutes and really not much better. Ended up tossing them. Some of you pro's tell me what I did wrong! Using green peanuts or dried peanuts?

I'm gonna plant me some peanut trees this fall so I don't have to go to the store no mo! Should produce in the 3rd season. Hopefully the deer won't eat the low hanging ones before I can get the ladder out there and pick 'em.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I'm gonna plant me some peanut trees this fall so I don't have to go to the store no mo! Should produce in the 3rd season. Hopefully the deer won't eat the low hanging ones before I can get the ladder out there and pick 'em. that's a great Idea! can't be any more difficult to pick up than pecans are... I know!!!! It's better than digging up strawberries and corn!

That was a big disappointment.

Are ya'll talking about using table salt or rock salt???
I’ve used rock salt but my brother said that it’s not good to eat too much of it. Don’t know if that’s true but I been using un-iodized table salt since. I boil some “Cajun” ones too. Liquid seasoning, dry seasoning and some extra salt. Let them soak for a few hours after shutting them off.

First time I boiled peanuts in mine I was impressed. Nice. My wife has really started using ours a lot since the Covid started. She makes a sausage pasta that is really just ground sausage, prego sauce and penne pasta. It is good. I also learned to make cheesecake in it, and it is as good as you will try anywhere.

I love a crock pot AND I love a pressure cooker. The instapot is the best of both. Who could not like that?

I think I will move this thread to the Buffet Forum. Boiling peanuts is pretty easy the normal way, not in one of those insta-pots gizmos.
